Saturn Fly-boat

Waterways Heritage Afloat

Each year Saturn travels an average of over 450 miles through over 250 locks, being seen and admired by thousands of people in communities, events and schools across the North West, North Wales and West Midlands.

She is a beautifully presented icon of British quality craftmanship and 'design for purpose', honed by two centuries of wooden narrowboat building skills. And a piece of living history, rooted in the working heritage of the communities and waterways she once again travels.

Keeping Saturn active and in top class condition is time consuming and expensive. Materials, methods and skills must be to the very highest standards. Saturn is operated by a charity team made up of energetic and knowledgable volunteers and we are very grateful for our sponsors who have made this all possible.

If these qualities that Saturn exemplifies, her service to local communities and the expertise with which she is managed, chime with your own company or organisation's values perhaps we could discuss ways of working together.
